How do young people cope with the demands of daily life? How do they manage when one more responsibility is placed on their shoulders? How can they help support friends and family who are struggling with mental health concerns? How do mental struggles differ from person to person?

Central Square Theater’s resident youth ensemble, Youth Underground (YU), creates and performs original theater that investigates social issues relevant to young people. For the past year, they have focused on youth mental health, investigating the reality of young people in Cambridge, the challenges faced, and the tools available for managing their struggles. Join YU and our community partners for a weekend of performances, workshops, and community conversations, as they take an honest look at the mental health challenges facing local youth.
