For nearly 50 years, BAGLY (The Boston Alliance of LGBTQ+ Youth) has been a youth-led,  adult-supported social support organization, committed to social justice and creating, sustaining, and advocating for programs, policies, and services for the LGBTQ+ youth community in Massachusetts.

National Alliance on Mental Illness of Massachusetts (NAMI Massachusetts) is a nonprofit grassroots organization seeking to improve the quality of life for people living with mental health conditions, their families, and their caregivers.

  • The Compass Helpline  – The Compass helpline at NAMI Massachusetts provides information, ideas, resources, and support to help people navigate the complex mental health system and related systems of care. Compass is staffed by people with first-hand experience navigating the mental health system for themselves or a family member.

  • Peer support groups –  Peer support means getting support from others who share similar identity, experience, or journey. It’s based on the principle that people who have this shared “lived experience” can offer unique support and understanding to one another. Below is a collection of peer support resources for people dealing with mental health symptoms or related experiences.
  • Local NAMI AffiliatesNAMI affiliates are independent volunteer-led, grassroots organizations who work to improve the public’s awareness and understanding of mental health conditions in their local community. Our affiliates offer support groups, education programs, and more. Getting involved with your local NAMI affiliate is a great way to impact change at the local level!                             

Samaritans works to prevent suicide and support those who have lost someone to suicide. Each year, our volunteers and staff answer more than 90,000 calls, texts, and chats on our Helpline, part of the national 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.
